INTERNSHIPS

Peace Over Violence welcomes students who require internship opportunities to further their academic pursuits.

Students of social work, marriage and family therapy, psychology, public health, public policy and administration, and law—among other disciplines, are welcome to apply for positions. Depending upon the need of the student, staff is assigned to supervise and train.

Clinical Interns

POV has internship/traineeship opportunities for Master’s level students and graduate MSW’s and MFT’s. With training provided by POV staff, group supervision, and individual supervision, MFT/MSW interns and trainees are ready to provide direct services to victims/survivors of domestic violence, their families and/or children.

Legal Internships/Externships

POV has internship/externship opportunities for law and graduate students. We have a particular need for interns to assist with our Immigration area and Family Law area. Interns will provide assistance with U Visa, VAWA, T Visa, Adjustment of Status, Naturalization, access to public benefits, access to health care, or access to legal status.

The duration of the internship/externship is up to 10 weeks, with a minimum of 30 hours per week. However, preference will be given to those who can commit to a full-time internship.

Please submit your resume, three references and a cover letter listing your availability to Managing Attorney Lizeth Castillo.
